Whenever you use the chiller coil extensions (whether that is for partial batches or for heating), you'll want to be sure to put the FTSs temp probe (the black wire) inside the THERMOWELL ON FRONT OF CHRONICAL and not down into the lid mounted thermowell like you would normally do if you had a full batch or were not using the extensions.
You'll find it works better this way. Not quite as nice / slick looking as mounting through the lid, we know.. But at least it works!
