Can I use the LCD thermometer included with my mash tun for my boil kettle?

No

We designed our mash tun thermometers with the highest temperature resolution in typical mash temperature ranges such as 145-168 degrees.  

Furthermore, the LCD was not designed to stand up to the high temperatures that take place as a result of direct heating the vessel.
