The lowest resolution on the controller for the hysteresis is 1, however, we have found that 1 degree is a very nominal difference in cellaring applications, and any setting less than 1 would cause the system to constantly cycle on and off.
That can be a detriment for many users because the chill water would be used up very quickly.
Furthermore, you could always reduce your set point by a degree to compensate for the hysteresis if you didn't want your fermenting beer to exceed a predetermined threshold.
