Hard Piping or 'Sanitary Process Piping' is the safest, most effective way to transport wort, cleaner, and sanitizer within your Ssystem. It consists of segments of non-reactive, corrosion-resistant tubing which are joined together by a trained welder who is certified for each joint. Each weld should fully penetrate the tubing leaving a contiguous, smooth surface with little discoloration. Ss Brewtech routinely inspects each weld to ensure there are no gaps, holes, lips, or ridges.
One key characteristic of hard piping is the respect to which fluids drain. Every segment must be designed to permit full drainage of a system, leaving no "dog legs" or interruptions for stagnant fluid sit and harbor microbiomes.
What are the Benefits of Ss Brewtech Hard Piping?
- 304 Stainless steel is more resistant to chlorides which can destroy typical hoses.
- Very low maintenance, easy to clean and maintain.
- Enhanced efficiency, our valve tree design eliminates the need for constant re-fitting of hoses.
- All valves are 3-A certified, the industry standard for hygienic fittings.
Why we Don't use Hosing on our Brewhouses
- Hoses quickly degrade with chemicals and sunlight, leaving behind a porous heaven for microbiological disappointment.
- They require additional proper storage to fully dry which can take up a lot of room.
- Connections loosen over time causing increased dissolved oxygen.
- Do you really want to trip over the same hose, again?
To quickly wrap this up, we believe hard piping makes sense from cost to functionality for your professional investment.
